A common theme in windsurfing is to take an old and
common maneuver -- like the Carving-360 in this case --
and really tweak it out. The end result is a new maneuver.
The Bender is a Carving-360 where you stay in the straps and
you sail sheeted out (like sailing out of a jibe clew 1st)
until the end of the carve where you then crank the clew thru
the eye of the wind and back toward the tail of the board
(so you get backwinded) while leaning your body forward toward
the nose of the board causing the board to swing around the
remaining 360 degrees.
