I am just learning the Shaka so all the information here is heresay. So far,I have landed some Shakas on both tacks and have finished them in an Upwind 360 more or less -- I still have not learned to slide one so my completions have not been satisfactory though I am stoked to have made progress on this difficult maneuver. The Sequence below features an amazing sailor and friend named Witt Poor. Watch out PWA because this guy is hot! A Shove-It is necessary for this move and overcoming the Shove-It muscle memory will be a challenge; namely learning NOT to 'Shove' the sail forward toward the nose of the board upon take-off

Helpful Skills
Shove-It for sure and the Upwind 360, Flip 360, and Flaka are helpful.

Tips
Many people get backwinded so learn to get over the board and leave the sail behind you.
I heard someone say really cut hard to your heels right before take-off.
Ideas
How about a 1 handed Shaka, a Shaka Diablo, or a Shaka-Flaka.
