the waves. Wave Sailing not only requires a different skill set than
other forms of windsurfing but it also provides an environment for
specialized tricks.
In addition to learning how to Beach Start from a radical shore break,
and sail out over mounds of white water, the windsurfer must learn how to
sail waves.
The
Bottom-Turn,
Aerial Off the Lip,
and "Backside-Wave-Sailing" are the most Noticable skills.
Windsurfing Maneuvers performed in the waves include Leeward sailing, Gu Screw, Wave 360,
Lip-Slide, Taka, and the Goiter.
