A Willie-Skipper is a move performed by jumping the board out of the water and spinning it 180
degrees while in mid-air and landing with your feet out of the footstraps, on the deck, and the
board sliding backwards.
Once the board has landed and is sliding then the sailor can perform a
Standard-Willie-Skipper
(flip the sail, let the board stop, and begin to windsurf away in the other direction) or
another variation.
There are two simple variations stemming from the Standard Willie Skipper. The first is
entering into a
Haas Tack
at the end of the move. The second, Known as a
Free Willie,
is performing Willie Skipper with a board 180, a sail flip, and then a Sail-180 at
the end of the move.
There are two intermediate variations. The Clew-Forward which is
self expanitory and the
Lollypop
which involves a simultanenous Sail-360 and Board-180 at the end of the Willier Skipper.
Expert variations involve appending another trick onto the end of the
Standard Willie Skipper. For Example, the Omazaeki was
invented by Josh Stone and fuses a Cowboy into the move. The Diablo adds
another board 180 woth a sail duck at the end. The Echo Variation
instills a sail duck into the move. The Jizz Master, as you might guess, incorporates
a Jizz maneuver into the skipper. The Sleepy Hollow adds the Inside the Boom
theme and the Freeze invloves backwinding of the sail.
