Aerials

Category Code: AIR Windsurfing Aerials
Aerials are just like you would think:  maneuvers with a distinctive aerial component.  I also have a Loops and Flip-Aerials category so the maneuvers in this category are differentiated from those two in that these are less inclined toward an end-over-end rotation.

Core Aerials

The Core Aerials are the Vulcan, the Shove-It, and the Table-Top.  The Standard Vulcan seems to be the most desired because the maneuver is the foundation for learning the Spock and a good launching pad for freestyle windsurfing.  The Vulcan variations include the Rail Grab, and from Switch.

The Shove-It is also another 'highly sought after' maneuver and is suprisingly more difficult than it looks.  I have seen many windsurfers in the Gorge take years trying to learn this trick.  The variations include One-Handed and Rail Grab.   A precursor to the Table-Top is the Donky-Kick.

Intermediate Aerials

Two Intermediate Aerials were invented by Gorge sailors.  The famous Wymeroo by Chris Wyman, the inventive Dark Flip by Mitch Gingrich.   I guess we canput the Air-Christ in this category as well.

Expert Aerials

The Shaka and Spanky are expert aerial maneuvers.
